I was so sick of myself, sick of being fat, unhealthy, unattractive and not in control of myself. I couldn't be trusted to make good choices, even if it was for my own benefit. I needed help.
I joined Jenny Craig and met my consultant Jeanette. As the menu and food is all pre-prepared I didn't have to make the decisions. Also by having my consultant and being weighed on a weekly basis it helped me by making me accountable for my choices during the week.
When I had reached my half way goal I was feeling so good about myself and empowered I was able to give up my 15 year smoking habit and still continue to lose weight.
I have never enjoyed exercising, I was always 'sick' on school sports days and while I can't say I love to exercise, I have found myself missing it if I haven't been able to exercise every second day. My secret to maintaining my exercise is to have an exercise buddy to work out with.
I am now at my goal weight and am on my maintenance plan. I am healthy, slim, fit and feeling in control. Life is good.
I will always need to monitor myself to ensure I stay that way but I am confident, as I am a Jenny girl!
