It's funny how you can convince yourself you are fit and healthy.

It's funny how you can be 20kg overweight and still think of yourself as looking great.

That's how funny I was before I joined Jenny Craig. Tipping the scales at just less than 100kg, I thought it funny that the scales and the mirror told me I was overweight when clearly I was peak health. I wasn't. My knees and back hurt. I got tired doing light exercise (walking upstairs?). And do you know the funniest thing? When I pointed out to friends and family the joke that by all measures I was an overweight crisis in progress they didn't laugh. That was when I knew it was time to look at me and do something about my health.

So I joined Jenny Craig, I had never dieted before and I still haven't. I chose Jenny Craig because I didn't want to jump from one diet to another, one fad to another; I simply wanted to take control of my health by losing excess weight and then learning to eat the foods I wanted to eat.

So here it is, "I lost 20kg in 15 weeks and I feel great!" No. Really. I do. I feel great! I have more energy and I can fit more in my day. I play, I mean play with the kids. And I'm happier and that's got to be good for everyone!

I can't recommend the program enough, the food is fantastic, it tastes great, love the Hearty Beef Pie (with sauce!) and Strawberry Oat Clusters, and there is plenty of variety. I have learnt so much about foods that I can make informed decisions about what I eat - I actually enjoy food more now.

I am back in control and the only funny thing now is why I didn't do it sooner.
