When I applied for the position at my local Jenny Craig I was a little scared. This position was very different from my past jobs. I walked into my interview feeling very nervous, however Malissa made me feel very welcome. This eased my nerves.

After the interview I went home in two minds. I was tossing up on whether to stay in my old, boring and unsatisfying job or take a new career. Malissa gave me a call the next day with good news. I got the job!

When I heard this, everything became clear – it was time for a new chapter in my life. Before I knew it I was at Consultant Training.

Since that first day I have had wonderful support and training. I now enjoy going to work because I am able to change and empower people to regain their life. With my position, it has even empowered me to grow in self-confidence and also help me with my communication skills.

With Jenny Craig, I always feel that I have great support and that I make a difference to the world, one person at a time. Also since working for Jenny Craig I have changed my eating habits; because of this I have lost just over 10kgs.

When I first called Jenny Craig in January 2007, all I wanted was to lose 12kgs and establish good eating habits for life.  That phone call started me on an AMAZING journey, not only have I lost 12kgs, (and kept it off for over a year now) it's also given me the confidence to change my career path and now I'm helping others achieve their goals too, as the leader of a Jenny Craig Centre in Sydney!

I'm so passionate about Jenny Craig, mainly because of how its personally changed my life, but also because it's such a fabulous working environment.  I've had so much support and encouragement by both management and my peers, that I actually look forward to coming to work each day.  That feeling is also due to my favourite part of the job - the clients.  I genuinely care for each person I see and it energises me when I see them taking steps forward in their individual journeys.

After participating in the Program successfully myself, I know that the Jenny Craig Program truly works.  I am now so happy to be able to assist clients to reach their healthy weight and to show them how they can lead a healthy lifestyle by eating right and being active.

I am always looking for that 'light bulb' moment when a client 'gets it' and undestands the program and what they need to do, and then I know that will be a successful weight loss client.  It makes all of the hard work involved so worthwhile.

When I first commenced employment with Jenny Craig, I thought that the role of a Weight Loss Consultant would be similar to that of working in Sales.....it did not take long for me to realise that this was so different to working in sales.

Our clients really rely on us for support and guidance along their weight loss journey.  The effect that we have on our clients is truly amazing and I get huge personal satisfaction in seeing the joy at every gram loss, and setting them up for continued success.

I choose to work at Jenny Craig because it is a Program like no other.  It contains all the essential tools for all sorts of people to lose and keep their weight off.  My belief is unexplainable.  With belief, comes desire and passion to help others and make them feel good about themselves, including staff and clients.

What I love about my position is that it's the best roller coaster ride I've ever been on.  I love training, motivating and brining out the best in people.  Going that extra mile, but knowing that the results and satisfaction always outweigh the challenges.

I love working at Jenny Craig as it enables clients to reach their weight loss goals whilst still enjoying their favourite foods - in pre packaged meals.  Having worked for other weight loss companies, I decided to work for Jenny Craig, as I believe the Program is substainable, flexible and caters to all ages, needs and weight loss goals.

I love that I am able to work closely with my clients to motivate and support them through their weight loss journey and to see the many exciting changes and benefits they receive from reaching their goal.

I was looking for a change in career when I saw the Jenny Craig position advertised.  I have attended another weight loss program as a client and could see that there is room for improvements for clients to be comfortable and looked after with a very personal and emotional manner.  So when I applied for the position at Jenny Craig and got the job, I could see that Jenny Craig offered everything I was looking for and that was needed as a client.

I have worked my way up the Company and now I am a Centre Leader and love helping my Consultants provide the service that is needed to clients that will change their lives.

After leaving the Royal Australian Navy, I decided that I wanted a totally different job, however being used to having a career with the Navy, I didn't want just any 'job'.  I had purchased a Gold membership with Jenny Craig in Rockingham, while I was still in the Navy to lose those extra kilos I put on after having children, but due to my work commitments (being at sea etc)I was unable to get into the Centre regularly, so I stopped after only 5 visits. 5 visits was all I needed to realise that this is the Company that I wanted to work for.

I had always had a keen interest in real estate, having left the Navy to be with my children, I felt that real estate would not leave me much time with my kids, and there was something so warm and welcoming about Jenny and I thought to myself, I'm going to take 12 months off to be closer to my children to make up for the many years that they had to spend in daycare or being cared for by other family members and friends (whilst I was away or on duty with the Navy).  During this 12 months, I completed my real estate course and was offered a job, however a career with Jenny was still more important to me as it would allow me to still be with my kids and also help others change their life!

Imagine my delight when an ad appeared in our local paper for a Jenny Craig Consultant.  I applied straight away and was offered the position, and that is when my goal became my reality.  I had huge ambitiions, beginning with helping as many people as possible see the advantages of a Program that offers you the tools and support to lose weight and more importantly, understand weight maintenance.

Being a Jenny Craig Consultant allowed me to do all of this which was amazing, however I wanted more, I wanted to help other people get started, so I focused on my clients and then became a Program Director, so I was now able to get people started and explain the benefits of Jenny Craig to them.  I was still ambitious and wanted more yet again.  Not only do I love consulting and being a Program Director, I was keen to get a position where I could lead a team who together had common goals and I could along with our great Training and Development team, continue to help my team grow through ongoing training.  Sharing my passion with them to inspire great things both for them and most importantly for our clients was exciting!  I am now proud to say that I am now a Centre Leader and can now do all of this.  

Jenny Craig allows me to be a mum which is my number one priority and I also get to help so many people achieve their goals.  I am now content.
