The results are in from our Do you Know Healthy Quiz and 74% believed having fats in your diet was healthiest.

Well done, most of you are aware that fats play an important part of a healthy diet. When it comes to dietary fats, try choosing healthier fats and of course enjoy them in moderation.

Healthier fats include polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats found in fish, nuts, seeds and avocados and they should be included in your diet as they have been shown to provide some health benefits.

The less healthy fats are saturated or trans fats found in animal sources and highly processed foods like processed meats, cakes and pastries. Including a small amount of saturated fat in your diet is fine – it’s all about balance!

All types of fats are high in kilojoules and if you eat more kilojoules than you use it will make losing weight difficult.

At Jenny Craig, our menus are low in saturated fat and include healthier fats in moderation, so you can gain the health benefits of these fats while sticking to your kilojoules needs.
