Myth: I can’t join Jenny Craig if I travel for work

If you travel regularly for work, you may worry that the Jenny Craig program won’t be suitable for you. However, the Jenny Craig program is super flexible and can be altered to fit into your lifestyle.

For example, if you travel a lot for work it might mean you won’t have time to visit your local Jenny Craig centre. Instead, you can speak to your Consultant and have your weekly consultations over the phone. You may also have access to offer home delivery (speak to your Consultant or local Jenny Craig centre to see if this option is available for you). This way, you’ll be able to arrange to have your Jenny Craig foods delivered directly to your door ready for when you return home.

Your Consultant will also be able to help you make a plan for when you travel to help you to continue to stick to your program and see results.

Here are our top travel tips with Jenny Craig:

  1. Pack healthy snacks for plane or car trips. Being prepared means you won’t be caught off guard and feeling hungry as you pass food vendors or when you’re offered food from a cart that may not fit your program. These might include your Jenny Craig snacks or fruit or vegetable sticks. Just make sure if you cross state borders to eat your fruit/veggies while in transit.
  2. Pack your Jenny Craig cereals or breakfast bars so you can kick start every day the right way.
  3. As soon as you get to your destination, visit a supermarket, corner store or milk bar to top up on milk (to have with your cereal), fruit and veg.
  4. When booking accommodation, try to get a room with a self-contained kitchen so you can prepare your food. This will mean you rely less on eating out and your Consultant will help with ideas on the types of foods to prepare. Depending on where you travel to, you may be able to take your Jenny Craig lunches and dinners with you.
  5. Stay active while you travel by scheduling in time to work out. This might be finding a nice park for a walk at your new destination or using the accommodation facilities.
  6. Speak to your Consultant about how to tailor the program to suit your needs while you’re away.

With a little planning and the help and support from your Consultant, you can travel and see results while on the Jenny Craig program.
