Over the last couple of years I had slowly put on a few more kilos than I would have liked to. Being busy and not enjoying cooking made it a bad habit to eat poorly and only have two meals a day with snacking in between (not on the healthy stuff either).
I had some lower back pain that a chiro told me he could fix which after months and a lot of money, he had not. Life was good, but could have been better and healthier.
The moment that made me want to begin my weight loss journey was jumping on the scales and seeing 99.7kgs. There was no way I wanted to hit the 100kg mark.
My experience on the Jenny Craig program was good, all really easy. I was able to swap out the meals I didn’t enjoy for something more my style on from the menu. I did not have a single cheat meal for the first 7 weeks, and when I felt like having a meal on my own, with the help of my consultant I was still able to lose weight. Over all it was easy and just took a little self-control to say ‘no’ to the morning teas at work and mates offering me chips and lollies.
Now that I’ve lost the weight I feel good, although I did have to spend a lot of money on a new wardrobe; but it’s a pretty good reason to have to buy all new clothes. Also my lower back isn’t nearly as bad as it was.
