Tell us a bit about you and what life was like before you joined Jenny Craig?

I was unhappy in myself and very emotional, I had no energy and would feed my emotions. My biggest weakness was Cola, I was addicted to it.

Why did you decide to join Jenny Craig?

I finally got to a point where I said, “enough is enough” and decided to do something about it. I had previously tried other weight loss programs, tablets, meal replacements and the latest diet fad with no major success.

Can you describe your experience on the Jenny Craig program?

I was very sceptical to begin with, but after losing a kilo or more for the first three weeks I knew I was going to succeed. Every small weight loss was celebrated, every mild setback was talked through and each week I left knowing I hadn’t failed and that I will still succeed. It helped build my confidence back up and changed my mindset.

Do you have any favourite items from the Jenny Craig menu?

So many! but I can narrow it down to one from each meal category:

Breakfast: Apple Berry Breakie Cup
Lunch: Ham and Cheese Toastie
Snack: Shortbread Bites
Dinner: Beef Lasagna

Tell us about your Jenny Craig Consultant?

Corrina understood me, I felt like we could relate to each other so much. She would make me feel at ease and would make me feel proud of myself, even when I felt like I hadn’t had a good week. She would help me be realistic with my goals – I had previously been bad at setting goals too high and falling off the wagon when I couldn’t achieve them instantly. I couldn’t have gotten this far without my consultant. Her enthusiasm was so contagious, and I always left feeling excited and proud of myself.

How do you feel now that you’ve lost the weight?

Losing the first 10 kilos without even exercising, just cutting Cola out and following my Jenny Craig menu. Reaching my first goal weight of 72kg (I last weighed this when I fell pregnant with my 2nd child in 2013). Getting under 70kg – I honestly can’t remember the last time I weighed that. Having customers I hadn’t seen since starting Jenny Craig not recognising me straight away and telling me I look amazing. They would ask how I did it and I would proudly say, Jenny Craig. Throwing away all my old clothes that no longer fit me and getting all my smaller clothes down from the top of my wardrobe felt amazing!
