This week we are all about getting active and challenging ourselves daily to up the movement and get going. Here are 7 easy ways to up the activity and kick start your weight loss journey.
Sunday – instead of meeting your friends for coffee and sitting at a café while you catch up – grab that coffee and go for a walk while you catch up.
Monday – At lunchtime, go outside and walk for 20 minutes. If you don’t have 20 minutes, break it up into 2 x 10 minute walks during the day.
Tuesday – Leave your car at home today and take public transport. Walk to and from the station/stop or get off a station/stop early and walk the rest of the way. You can also stand on public transport and let someone else sit down.
Wednesday – While watching TV, activate the TV ads. Get off the couch during the ads and walk around or do sit ups, push up, squats or jog on the spot.
Thursday – Move your bin away from your desk so you have to get up to put something in it.
Friday – Wind down your week with a walk, swim or class (yoga, pilates, pump, boxing or boot camp).
Saturday – a great day to get chores done – garden, mow the lawn or wash the car by hand
