Getting started can be the hardest part, so here is an easy exercise to help you identify your problem areas and help you overcome them so you can start working towards your goals.
1. Start thinking about what are the reasons you can’t lose weight? These can be habits, obstacles, excuses, mindset etc.
Write them down. Be honest with yourself.
2. Now next to each one write why you will no longer accept these reasons and how you will overcome it.
Example: I don’t have time to exercise.
This is no longer an acceptable excuse because:
I watch TV for 1 hour a night, I can add in exercise during that time
I can wake up 30 minutes earlier and go for a walk
Exercise will give me more energy and help me feel better
3. Keep them handy. Remind yourself of them all the time. Add to the list when you need.
