Raspberry & Lime Iced Tea

Alcohol often goes hand in hand with celebrations. However, having too many alcoholic drinks isn’t great for your health and can slow down weight loss efforts. Sometimes, holding an alcoholic drink will mean you drink more without even noticing simply because it is there. So, if you’re trying to cut back on alcohol, a good tactic at a BBQ or party is to make yourself a low kilojoule mocktail. This recipe not only tastes great, but it looks festive and fun too. Why not try it at your next celebration?

Serves 2


  • 2 white tea bags
  • 500ml water
  • ½ cup of raspberries
  • 2 sprigs of mint leaves
  • 1 lime
  • Sweetener (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla essence


  1. Boil water and steep tea bags for 2-3 minutes. Cool down to room temperature, add 3 slices of lime, raspberries, sweetener (if using), mint and vanilla.
  2. Squeeze in the juice of the remaining lime and stir. Place in the fridge until chilled.
