Becy Owen has joined her husband Jason Owen on Jenny Craig, find out how she’s balancing motherhood and her weight loss journey below:
You’re joining your husband Jason on Jenny Craig, how have you found your first few weeks on the program together?
It has been incredible for us as a couple, we used to spend way too much time deciding what to have for dinner each night and would often end up ordering take away at multiple nights a week. It’s been great supporting each other on a daily basis, noticing the differences in each other. Whenever I’m stuck on the couch feeding Lyla it is so simple for Jason to get my Jenny Craig meal ready and it makes it stress free for me!
How is Jenny Craig fitting into life with a new baby?
Having a new baby all my focus has been on her making sure she is fed, happy and healthy which if you’ve had a newborn you know it’s an around the clock job, with the influence of Jenny Craig I have been able to have a healthy balanced diet and have felt so well looked after as-well.
What does a typical day on Jenny Craig look like for you?
While I’m on maternity leave we’re spending lots of time at home, which has worked well, eating Jenny Craig for three meals and two snacks a day. We’re both following the same plan so we can line up our menus to have the same dish together. We’re also taking our daughter and dog for a walk along the water a couple of times a week which is great family time.
Do you have any favourite items from the Jenny Craig menu?
I have so many already! The Malty Grain, Pancakes and Banana bread are my breakfast favourites. For lunch I love the Spaghetti Bolognese, Ham and Cheese Toastie and Quiche Lorraine. For dinner my go-to favourites are the Spinach & Ricotta Cannelloni, Chicken Parmigiana and the Mac and Cheese!
What would you say to others thinking about starting Jenny Craig?
I would absolutely say go for it! It’s such an easy plan to stick to with delicious food and it makes weight loss enjoyable.
