What to expect when you start your journey at Jenny Craig

Ever wondered what happens when you book an appointment at Jenny Craig? Let’s take you through exactly what to expect once you book in for your first consultation.

Meet your Jenny Craig Consultant
Once you take that first step and head into a Jenny Craig centre, you’ll meet your very own personal Consultant. Your Consultant will be the one who guides you on your weight loss journey and will help you keep you on track, every step of the way. They will be your cheerleader, menu planner, and friend during your time at Jenny Craig. But most importantly, they’re genuine, compassionate people who have a love of health and helping people reach their goals.

Set your goals
Your first appointment at Jenny Craig is the perfect time for you and your Consultant to get to know each other and this is the time when you can talk about your personal goals, weight loss goals and what inspired you to join Jenny Craig. Our Jenny Craig members lose an average of 1/2 kg – 1 kg each week, so it’s important we set realistic goals with you from the start.

Track your progress
To track your progress, we have to see exactly where you started. Your Consultant will take a “before” picture, record your weight and take your measurements. You’ll also set weight loss milestones to celebrate along the way, such as when you lose 10% of your body weight and your halfway mark. By this point, you’ll probably be feeling pretty excited and ready to get started.

Get to know the program and your menu
Next, your Consultant will give you a “Getting Started” booklet that contains everything you need start the program successfully. You’ll learn how your menu works, how often you should be eating, the importance of portion control, and much more. You’ll also be introduced to your ‘Grocery Guide’ which will help you to personalise your menu to ensure you incorporate your favourite foods into your meal plan. From there we’ll take a look at your menu so you can choose which Jenny Craig items will form the basis of your menu and meal plan.

Let’s get started!
Once you’ve chosen your menu, your Consultant will discuss any upcoming plans you have for the week, and set up your expectations for your first week. Your food will then be packed and paid for before you head off on your weight loss journey! How easy is that!
